Birth of Ashram

This Ashram has been constructed under very contrary circumstances. Generally any saint or sage, wherever he was staying, would first of all build an Ashram and a small cottage for himself. First he would decide on the thread and then decide how far he wanted to fly his kite; whether he would need one reel of twine or two. Here the situation is just the opposite Here the kite is already flying and then the thread is reaching it. Thus after visiting so many countries around the world, there was no Ashram, no residence, nothing. Only the work was getting done. Has anyone ever worked in this airy manner?

This was possible only because Universal Collectivity was a prerequisite of this Samarpan Ashram. First the collectivity has been created and then the Ashram has been constructed.

H. H. Shivkrupanand Swami

After descending from Himalayan Mountains Swamiji imparted Samarpan Meditation teachings in Burma, Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim and Northen India for a number of years. In 1999 on an invitation from a social worker He conducted first Meditation Workshop in Nagpur then in Mumbai (State of Maharashtra, India) and in 2000 He was invited to Navsari (State of Gujarat, India) where the first workshop in the state of Gujarat was organized.

After completion of the Navsari Meditation workshop, one day Swamiji along with some sadhaks (meditation students) went to the sea shore at Dandi (13 km's from Navsari) for Meditation, during this meditation session energy in the form of 'OM' appeared in the sky, created by clouds. OM is a symbol which represents everything (entire universe), the sound formed during the creation of universe. With this incident Swamiji understood that this is the place where His Gurus want to establish the Ashram and in 2002 one of sadhaks from a nearby village generously donated 70 acres of land for the Ashram near Dandi's sea shore.

Between 2002 and 2005 there were several events on this open Ashram land. A portion of the entire Ashram land has been developed and a Samarpan Ashram was formally inaugurated by our Divine Master H. H. Shivkrupanand Swami on 8th Nov 2005, on occasion of the Chaitanya Mahotsava (Festival of Consciousness) in the presence of over 15000 sadhaks.
